What makes you different than a daycare?
At Hummingbird Hollow, we offer something truly different: a nurturing, home-based learning environment designed to honor each child’s unique rhythm and developmental needs.
Unlike traditional daycare centers with rigid schedules and large group sizes, we provide a calm, intimate setting where children are free to explore, create, and connect at their own pace. Nap time is individualized — not on floor mats in a shared space, but in dedicated nap rooms with pack-and-plays, blackout curtains, and sound machines that mimic the comforts of home.
We combine the best of classical education, nature-based exploration, and Montessori principles to create a rich, screen-free environment rooted in literature, the arts, and practical life. We incorporate partial American Sign Language and Spanish immersion, listen to audiobooks and music in many languages and provide organic cuisine from all over the world. Our mixed-age groupings are intentional — they allow children to naturally develop advanced interpersonal skills, including empathy, patience, cooperation, and leadership.
With low child-to-adult ratios, every child receives the focused attention and care they deserve. Parents choose Hummingbird Hollow not just for care, but for a meaningful early childhood experience that lays the foundation for lifelong learning, confidence, and joy.
