Large Bowls

Sold

Bowls are very versatile... While visiting the home of someone who'd received the bowl above and to the right, I got a kick out of seeing it being used and appreciated.

I do special order pieces also. If you see a style you like, and a color scheme you'd like with it, please give me a call or corner me the next time our paths cross and I'll be happy to make something that is uniquely yours.

Swinging the Blues - SOLD
$225

Approx. 6 3/4 in. high

Shades of blues and aquas... deep bowl would make a perfect centerpiece on a large table or on its own pedestal! The inside of the bowl is primarily a medium shade of aqua. Texture adds interest! Recently I did a bit of experimenting on this bowl and added some light touches of decoupage in blues, greens and aquas. Just in a few key places to make it "pop". I love the addition.

This is the bowl I gave to Chris Snell at the Fayette County Library. Chris is so wonderful and supportive! She prodded the Atlanta Journal Constitution to do the story they did on me and held my display over for extra time so it would still be at the library when they ran the article. This is a very large bowl and quite honestly, she almost didn't get it! I made it with her in mind incorporating the colors she has in her home. However, once it was finished I really fell in love with it. I never do the same thing twice so I guess she's just going to have to have me over for dinner sometime so I can look at the bowl <g>.

Mountain Dream - SOLD
$225

Approx. 5 1/4 in. tall
Mountain Dream is comprised of three different clays. The wet clays were layered, rolled, cut, layered, rolled, cut over and over to get the marbled effect. Then, once I put the bowl together, I scraped through to bring out the textures. I added wavy edges along the top portion in one area. Clear matt glaze covers the piece.

$195

Low bowl with a yellow cast and brown. Multiple types of clay were used to add interest and contrast. It's a rather large bowl with a slight curve. I did a series of pots with these clays, textures and colors. They went so fast I couldn't keep up with the demand! Guess I'll have to remember to do some more in this vein sometimes. My biggest problem is that once I move on, I rarely go back... Yeah, I know, that's not the smartest business move to make when I know something is selling...
