Some of my work will be on display at the Fayette County Library
in Fayetteville for the month of June. Love the way the library
supports the arts! I also have an ongoing display at the Artists
Market on Piedmont Road in Buckhead, the Dogwood Gallery in
Tyrone and at Beyond the Door in Senoia. Just found out some
more of my work sold! Whoopee!!! I've applied for a few more
juried shows, will keep you posted.
I've been busy... Hendersonville, N.C. show was great. Four
shows in one month kind of stretched me a bit though! I am ready
to spend some quality time with my clay!!!
Had a great time at the Fayette Fine Art show! Met lots of new
friends and sold, sold, sold... For the first time ever, the
rain held off while I was packing up! Yes...
First Place at Arts in the Alley!
McDuffie Arts Council Director, Marion Ivey presents Janet
McGregor Dunn with the "First Place" award for her pottery
entered in the Visual Arts Competition at Arts in the Alley '10.
I'm co-chairing a fantastic new show that will be held November
6th & 7th in Senoia, Georgia (Coweta County). It's going to
combine fine arts and crafts with a nice look at the stunning
historic architecture in the town. Senoia Arts & Architecture...
watch for more info.
I had a great time at the annual Courthouse
Square Art Show in Fayetteville! Thanks to all who bought my
art! My work won a ribbon (which came with a little cash...
very nice!). It was great to do the show and really
fantastic to have the judges appreciate my pottery, too.
I'll be there again next year, wouldn't miss seeing all the
wonderful people who stop by. Excellent show, well run with
supportive volunteers. That's me in the center above, with
Patsy Gullett on the left and Debi Lenox on the right.
Hummingbird Hollow is the name I chose for my pottery studio
way back when... The studio is located in the middle of Fayette
County, Georgia.
Art is an ongoing experimental journey and
thus you'll find an eclectic grouping of unique art on these
pages. I hope you'll come back often to see my new works of art
and will stop by to see me (and my clay art) when I'm having a show!
I appreciate your visit and hope you'll enjoy looking around.
Looking for Artists...
Each year in Fayette County REALTORS put together an event,
Noel November, to benefit local children's charities (sometimes
they choose senior charities). Companies, groups and individuals
donate beautiful Christmas trees which they auction. I'm
coordinating efforts to create an artist's tree titled (at the
moment) Ocean Blues. If you'd like to consider making and
donating 8 or more original ornaments, click here for more
information.
I'm donating pottery to...
A Night of Hope to benefit Christian City
Noel November to benefit the Joseph Sams School, Promise
Place and the Fayette Youth Protection Home
The Chair-ity Event to benefit The Children's Village at
Christian City.
Southwest Christian Hospice, annual fundraiser.
